Sonja Ferlov Mancoba writes to Steffen Steffensen with the address of her artist friend Erwin Graumann in Switzerland and a brief biography intertwined with a description of her friendship with him. She recounts, among other things, how she has known Graumann since 1935, when she met him in connection with her involvement in Linien. She tells how she has maintained contact with him throughout her years in Paris, where he initially lived as a German refugee and later visited her, Ernest Mancoba, and Wonga Mancoba, enriching them with his poetry and warmth. She also describes his studio and mentions that he has a small collection of African art. Furthermore, she quotes Ejler Bille's description of his art from Linien February 15, no. 10, 2nd year, 1935.
