Sonja Ferlov Mancoba writes to Niels Ferlov and reports that she, Wonga Mancoba, and Ernest Mancoba will take the train to Rome on August 26 in hopes of meeting Knud Ferlov one last time before he dies. She writes about her anxiety about going out into the world and about the society she finds sick. She questions what she helped tear down in her youth and what was built up. She writes that those who work alone in their belief in humanity should meet and seek their identity and roots in the past. Regarding her sculptures, she writes that she works slowly like a turtle. Whether the thing she is working on turns out good or bad is less important than whether it changes her.
