Knud Ferlov writes to Sonja Ferlov Mancoba and reminisces about how he teased her in Paris for reading Vendredi. He writes about art. That he does not only believe in it, but also in Christ. He expresses his hope that working with art will occupy her and nourish her love regardless of disappointments and joy. He compares it to helping Christ carry the cross and adds that she is, after all, not "unaccustomed to suffering."
