Knud Ferlov thanks for the card from Sonja Ferlov Mancoba with a poem by Supervielle and writes about Sonja Ferlov Mancoba's (inner) struggle with the sculpture and the (outer) success she - and Ernest Mancoba - have achieved as artists. He doubts that it is enough for them and quotes from Wexel's hymn "So wide about the land, as the sun may go," 1847, about finding God as the goal that brings peace of mind. He writes about how he himself lets go of his many plans here in his old age and expresses hope to see them in Rome one last time.
