The artist committee explains why the exhibition concept for the American traveling exhibition has been changed. The reason is that Asger Jorn has withdrawn his commitment to participate in the exhibition with five works. Sonja Ferlov Mancoba has been invited, and the committee requests renewed commitment to the new concept. The letter includes Asger Jorn's justification from April 23, 1964. Jorn justifies his withdrawal by stating that the exhibition is not a historical exhibition, but an exhibition of contemporary art, and that significant artists such as Vilhelm Bjerke Petersen and Robert Jacobsen are not represented.
