Sonja Ferlov Mancoba writes to Jan Groth and thanks him for his card with a picture of a Cycladic sculpture. She mentions that she has had it with her during her four months of illness. She, Ernest Mancoba, and Wonga Mancoba went the day before to the Grand Palais and saw the Cycladic sculptures. In meeting them, they felt their souls cleansed and strengthened. She further writes about living as a human being with dignity and relating to the past, present, and future. Furthermore, she makes a critical remark about the surrounding society, technological development, and science, as well as about the encounter between people.
