It has taken us longer than we had hoped to send you this little word after our happy coming together at the warm reception and feastful dinner you offered us when I last we weree at your beautiful home in Kokkedal.The reason for this delay has been the great confusion and incertitude which we have discovered in our affairs and which appear bottomless and very intricate.This has shocked us so much as to leave us unable to write freely to our friends,and has occupied all our attention .But even if you have not received word from us ,you can be sure that you always have been in our thoughts.
It is with great indebtedness and gratitude that I think of the project which you proposed and we carried out so well, and in such harmony together.This good collaboration that you have maintained in your atelier and vaerksted is symbolic of what is needed so badly iin our present world where people with different characters and gifts find it so difficult to work together towards a common aim. It was an enriching experience for me and it helped to find back to some aspects of my expression which I had set aside for a long time and to discover new possibilities in the beautiful art of lithography.
The piece of mind and unbelievable sympathy and human care I received from the whole family at your place made the whole project much easier for me .And the dialog we had both at home and during the little trip up and down to the working place and back ,was very inspiring for my effort.I thank you all for it.
We were very glad to receive your beautiful card and message from Portugal.It gave as a little pic-ture which made us share in the good experience you had both of the land and of the people,for which we felt you had sympathy and concern.
Our present problems might make it necessary that we make again the journey to Denmark soon .But we are not fixed as yet and we would prefer there things to be kept between us.
In the meantime ,we send you ,Wonga and I, our most heartfelt greetings and rememberances
